What is CIS?

The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is a scheme that contractors use when paying subcontractors for construction-related work. A contractor will deduct money from a subcontractor payment and then pay this deduction over to HMRC as an advanced payment towards the subcontractor's tax and National Insurance (NI).

If you are a contractor, you will be required to report all subcontractor invoices and deductions to HMRC on a monthly basis and pay the deduction to HMRC.

How can we help?

  1. CIS Registration - We can help get you registered with HMRC.

  2. Verification of subcontractors - Ensuring they are registered under CIS.

  3. CIS Deductions - Calculating and recording the correct amount of deductions.

  4. Payment Processing - Making correct payments to subcontractors.

  5. CIS Return - Completion and filing of your CIS return. The period covered will be from the 6th of the previous month to the 5th of the current month, with a filing deadline of the 19th of the current month, giving you just 2 weeks at the end of each period to file your CIS return with HMRC.
